On February 23, the sub-event of the “Qifu for the World: Sharing Health—Zhongning Goji Berries Head to Guangdong” promotion conference—the unveiling ceremony of the Zhongning Goji Berry South China Operations Center and the accompanying project signing ceremony—was successfully held at the “Guangzhou Provincial Economic Living Room” within the Guangzhou International Pharmaceutical Port. As the saying goes, “All goji berries in the world come from Ningxia, and Zhongning goji berries are the best in the world.” This event has further deepened economic and trade cooperation and exchanges between Guangdong and Ningxia.

Leaders at various levels from the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region—including the Forestry and Grassland Bureau, the Ningxia Resident Office in Guangdong, the People’s Government of Zhongning County, the Goji Berry Industry Development Center, the Zhongning Branch of the Agricultural Bank of China, the Zhongning County Bureau of Commerce and Investment Promotion, and the Zhongning County Housing and Urban–Rural Development Bureau—along with key representatives such as Lü Yubao, head of Guangzhou Qiyu Trading Co., Ltd., and leaders representing the Guangzhou International Pharmaceutical Port Group, attended this event.

At the meeting, Guo Hongling, Second-Level Inspector of the Forestry and Grassland Bureau of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, delivered a speech. She expressed her great pleasure at being in Guangzhou—the “Millennium Commercial Capital and Open City”—to share the charm of Ningxia’s red treasures, to discuss ways to deepen cooperation and friendship, and to explore opportunities for economic and trade collaboration and exchange. Ningxia is the authentic production area of goji berries and is renowned as “The World Looks to China for Goji Berries; China Looks to Ningxia for Goji Berries.” She hoped that this event would serve as a catalyst to further enhance the visibility of Zhongning goji berries in South China, boost sales, and transform this “small berry” into a “major industry.”

Zhou Yonggen, Mayor of the People’s Government of Zhongning County in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, delivered a speech. Mayor Zhou stated, “The Yellow River makes Ningxia prosperous, and Zhongning goji berries are the finest in the world.” Zhongning is the birthplace and authentic origin of goji berries worldwide, as well as the core production area for Ningxia goji berries. It is home to the nation’s only “National-Level Zhongning Goji Berry Market.” He expressed his hope that this event would enable the South China market to gain a deeper appreciation of the unique appeal of Zhongning goji berries.

At the meeting, Mr. Lü Yubao, head of Guangzhou Qiyu Trading Co., Ltd., expressed strong confidence in the market prospects for Zhongning goji berries in South China. Based on market research and sales data, Zhongning goji berries enjoy an excellent reputation and promising growth potential in the South China market, and the company is committed to further enhancing the brand image of “Ningxia goji berries are prized for their authentic origin” and “Zhongning goji berries: a premium, authentically sourced treasure” in this region.
