On the afternoon of January 12, Yin Xiangkui, Deputy County Magistrate of Haiyuan County, led a delegation comprising officials from the County Forestry and Grassland Bureau and heads of various townships and towns to QiFuYuan Trading Co., Ltd. in Zhongning County for a special inspection and exchange. The delegation conducted in-depth discussions on core issues such as goji berry processing technology, market expansion, and investment promotion cooperation, jointly exploring new pathways for industrial development.

Standardized Production System Empowered by Technology

The inspection delegation first visited QiFuYuan, where they observed on-site the sorting of goji berries, vacuum-pulsed fresh-locking drying, aseptic packaging, and finished-product inspection and warehousing. QiFuYuan holds multiple internationally recognized certifications, including ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 22000 for food safety, FSSC 22000 for globally accredited food safety systems, and HACCP for hazard analysis and critical control points, thereby establishing a standardized system for end-to-end risk management. Moreover, its diversified portfolio of high-value-added products—ranging from dried goji berries and freeze-dried fresh goji berries to goji berry puree and traditional Chinese medicine decoction pieces—received high praise from the delegation, which noted that its technological expertise provides valuable reference for extending the industrial chain of Haiyuan’s goji berry industry.

Supply Chain Collaborative Layout Logic

Taking supply chain collaboration across the entire value chain as its core, QiFuYuan has deconstructed the logic of its omni-channel market layout—“stable supply at the raw material end, intelligent allocation at the warehousing end, direct delivery at the logistics end, and coordinated operations at the distribution end”—allowing the delegation to gain a deep understanding of the supporting role of the supply chain in market coverage.

Raw Material Side Leveraging the resources of Ningxia’s core goji berry production region, the company has established a procurement system based on “direct sourcing from bases plus contract farming,” which not only secures high-quality local goji berry raw materials but also establishes direct supply channels with other producing areas such as Haiyuan, thereby ensuring supply-chain stability at the source. Warehouse end , leveraging an intelligent inventory management system to synchronize inventory data across locations in real time, thereby enabling “local stock preparation and rapid response”; Logistics end Based on the specific characteristics of different product categories—such as dried goji berries, freeze-dried fresh goji berries, and traditional Chinese medicinal decoction pieces—we tailor logistics solutions that include ambient-temperature transportation, cold-chain preservation, and dedicated cross-border routes. In particular, for highly active freeze-dried products, we have established an end-to-end low-temperature cold-chain system to ensure consistent product quality from warehouse to consumer. Distribution end The supply chain is deeply aligned with an omni-channel distribution model that integrates online wholesale (1688), offline supermarket and pharmaceutical channels (such as RT-Mart and Dashanlin), and cross-border trade. Standardized packaging and delivery processes are used to seamlessly meet the procurement needs of each channel, while supply-chain data is leveraged to refine production planning in a data-driven manner—for example, by dynamically adjusting the inventory allocation between core warehouses and forward warehouses based on strong sales performance of freeze-dried products in the South China market. This supply-chain–centric, end-to-end integration spanning production, storage, logistics, and sales not only reduces operational costs across all markets but also establishes a closed-loop advantage characterized by secure raw-material sourcing, efficient delivery, and comprehensive coverage at the point of sale.

A Win-Win Path of Resource Complementarity and Cooperation

During the symposium, the two sides engaged in in-depth consultations on key investment-promotion topics such as supply-chain collaboration, brand synergy, and technological cooperation. Particular emphasis was placed on critical areas including the breeding and quality enhancement of superior varieties, the joint development and shared use of drying facilities, the collaborative empowerment of the “Ningxia Goji Berry” regional brand, and the innovative expansion of the freeze-dried fresh goji berry product category. As a result, several preliminary cooperation agreements were reached, laying a solid foundation for the targeted implementation of investment initiatives and the coordinated development of the industry going forward.

04

Jointly Crafting a New Blueprint for the Development of the Ningxia Goji Berry Industry

Vice County Magistrate Yin Xiangkui stated that QiFuYuan’s core technologies in the field of freeze-dried fresh goji berries, standardized production control, and end-to-end supply chain deployment precisely meet the development needs of the Haiyuan goji berry industry for “large-scale cultivation, standardized processing, standardized quality control, and brand-oriented operations.”

The general manager of QiFuYuan stated that Haiyuan County boasts superior cultivation resources and vast potential for industrial development, and that this in-depth exchange with the inspection delegation represents a significant opportunity for the two regions to leverage their respective industrial strengths. Moving forward, QiFuYuan will adopt an open-minded approach and focus on deepening cooperation with Haiyuan County in areas such as exporting freeze-dried fresh goji berry technology, co-building freeze-drying production lines, sharing distribution channels for freeze-dried products, and jointly developing the regional public brand “Ningxia Freeze-Dried Fresh Goji Berries.” These efforts will help Haiyuan rapidly establish a comprehensive freeze-drying processing system, enhance the distinctive reputation of the freeze-dried category under the “Ningxia Goji Berry” brand, and drive the entire freeze-dried fresh goji berry industry toward standardization, high-end positioning, and market orientation. In doing so, this “freeze-dried red treasure” will serve as a high-quality platform for boosting rural revitalization in Haiyuan and increasing the incomes of local farmers, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of the region.

With red fruits as the medium, our gathering is destined; hand in hand, we look forward to a promising future. QiFuYuan is always willing to share its accumulated industrial experience, technological resources, and market channels to empower the development of the goji berry industry across different regions. Together with our industry partners, we will build a solid bridge for the collaborative development of the freeze-dried fresh goji berry industry, writing a new chapter of industrial prosperity and win-win outcomes for all parties!
